VR Training simulation

Do you support other VR headsets?

Our simulation is optimized for mobile/standalone Pico Neo VR headsets series, starting with Pico Neo 2.

Yes, we do. However, the pairing function of the training simulation with the Lifeliqe account is limited to the pairing code only.

If you need to get someone's attention while they're in VR, speak to them. If the user does not respond to your voice, gently tap them on the arm or shoulder. Do not physically grab or restrain a user while they're using a VR. Be aware that many VR users may be easily startled by real noise or contact while they're wearing a headset.

Pico states that their headsets are intended for users over 12 years of age and Lifeliqe's training simulations are intended for students. We recommend that users keep their VR equipment out of reach of children and use VR in a space where children will not wander in range of the guardian boundary.

A VR user needs a minimum of 6 feet (About 1.8 meters) of circular space to comfortably use VR. The amount of additional space needed to allow your staff to navigate between stations may depend on your disability access policy.

Your headset is downloading and installing an automatic update for the controllers. Your controllers will begin working again when the update is complete.

Sometimes, the tracking cameras on the headset make an error when detecting the floor level. To set a correct floor level, return to the launcher menu and select "Guardian setup." Setting the floor level is part of the manual guardian setup process.

In quick setup, the headset creates a circular guardian boundary automatically, with the user selecting from one of three sizes. In manual setup, the user draws the guardian boundary on the floor, using one of their controllers as a pointer. Since Lifeliqe's training simulations do not require the user to take a physical step, either of these two options will work well with the simulations.

The guardian boundary is a virtual boundary line that informs the user when they're approaching the edge of their designated VR space. Lifeliqe's training simulations do not require the user to take any physical steps, so the guardian can be set as small or as large as your space requires. If a headset is set up in the same location it was last used in, it may load a previous boundary and automatically skip the guardian setup. If you wish to change the dimensions of your guardian boundary, select "Guardian setup" in the launcher menu and follow the instructions your headset gives you.

A Pico Neo 2 takes roughly two and a half hours to charge from an empty battery.

Simulation sickness is a form of motion sickness that results from experiencing the illusion of motion without actually moving in real space. This can occur in new VR users, but is rare. If a user complains that they feel nauseous, dizzy, have a headache, or eye strain, have them remove their headset and take a break. Lifeliqe's training simulations contain features to help prevent simulation sickness from occurring, such as teleportation and snap turning. Some users that experience simulation sickness may experience it less as they become more accustomed to VR.

We recommend taking a minimum five minute break for every hour in VR. If the user experiences discomfort such as eye strain or a headache, remove the headset and do not resume using VR until the discomfort subsides.

Adjust your headset up and down on your face until you find the angle that presents the clearest image. If the blurring is uneven, then there may be a smudge on the lense. You can clean the lenses by wiping in a circular motion using a clean microfiber cloth.

No, we do not support this particular device.

Lifeliqe online

This function works well on Pico, Oculus and HTC VR headsets, whenever they are tethered (Oculus Rift or HTC Vive) or untethered (Pico Neo series or Oculus Quest series).a

Our cloud-based application is platform and hardware agnostic. If your device is unsupported, a message will occur before attempting to sign in.

Software

Lifeliqe online

This can be found in the platform’s section ‘Start your training’ by clicking on the button ‘Show’. This option is available once you enter the license key and activate your account.

Once you sign into your Lifeliqe account, access your profile settings, which can be found in your left upper corner, and enter the license key.

VR training simulation

Before you start

Through a simulated visit and job shadowing, individuals observe a professional in the job and perform simple tasks to gain understanding of related skills, behaviors and responsibilities. This option is free to access and doesn’t require pairing of an account.

Access your full training simulation, consisting of studying lessons and assessment. Requires to pair a Lifeliqe account with an appropriate license.

Pairing your Lifeliqe account with training simulation

No, you don’t need to be connected to the Internet on your VR headset anymore. However, it is strongly recommended to be connected to the Internet all the time, as essential functions such as cloud saving and progress sharing on the Lifeliqe online platform do not work without it.

If the Lifeliqe account is already paired, ensure that its progress has been saved online before attempting to pair a new account, otherwise you may cause progress loss. If you want to pair your account, select “Change account” and follow with either of two options described in previous steps.

First of all, have your unique pairing code opened on any display or printed out. Then, open the training simulation in your virtual reality headset and select “Pair Lifeliqe account” or “Change account”. You will be switched to a “pass-through” mode, which can let you see your environment.

First of all, have your unique QR code opened on any display or printed out. You can find it on the Lifeliqe online platform once you’ve signed in. Then, open the training simulation in your virtual reality headset and select “Pair Lifeliqe account” or “Change account”. You will be switched to a “pass-through” mode, which can let you see your environment. Find with the VR headset the QR code, get close enough to it and align the QR code within the boundaries presented on your screen.

Yes. Once your license is checked on our server and your account is paired, you can continue without an Internet connection.

License key is a 8-character code consisting of various characters (upper and lower case, numbers). This license key is applied on the Lifeliqe online platform to activate your Lifeliqe account to access its 3D content and pairing functions for your training simulation. It cannot be used as a pairing code for your training simulations.

Pairing code is a 9-character code consisting of only upper case characters and numbers. It is unique to your Lifeliqe account and is accessible to you once you activate your license key. The pairing code is one of two ways of pairing your Lifeliqe account with the training simulation.

There are two ways. You can either scan the QR code or apply a 9-character pairing code. Both can be found on the Lifeliqe online platform once you’ve signed in and entered the license key.

Creating your profile

Yes. You can change this option anytime in your training simulation.

No. Once you select your skin tone, you cannot change it further.

Yes. Audio and subtitles can be changed anytime in your training simulation.

No. Your name can be changed only in your Lifeliqe account. If you’ve changed the display name, log into the training simulation once you are connected to the Internet for the name to take effect.

Check whenever you have filled in the name in your Lifeliqe account. If not, fill it in, save the change and log into your training simulation again while you are connected to the Internet on your device. In a case you have your name filled in your Lifeliqe account and it still does not show up in your training simulation, there may be a delayed response from our server. This shall automatically resolve on its own.

Resetting your profile

You can reset your profile as many times you would like to.

Yes. Resetting your profile will clear your progress and profile settings.

Controllers

No. You cannot change any button functions or move a function to a different button.

Please, see the picture below showing the controller functions.

Saving your progress

Yes, but with a limitation. If you are not connected to the Internet on your VR headset, your progress is stored only locally. If you would like to pair your Lifeliqe account with training simulation on a different VR headset, you will load your last settings and progress from our servers, which may be vastly different from your local progress and settings of your previous device. It is therefore highly recommended to be connected to the Internet while you are in the training simulation to ensure up-to-date information anytime you pair your Lifeliqe account with training simulation, as the progress will be automatically saved on our server.

No. If you exit the application in the middle of a lesson, it will not count as finished.

Your progress is automatically saved whenever you finish a lesson or an assessment.

About simulation content

The assessment questions are randomly selected from a bank of questions curated by experts and appropriate for a given module.

Assessment of each module is unlocked once you complete a whole study module.

Unfortunately, no. Lessons are interconnected and information you receive in one lesson is necessary for you to understand its following lesson.

Yes, but only once you have completed the given lesson at least once.
