Lifeliqe recently launched America's only digital, animated field trips for California students using the Department of Labor's O*NET taxonomy. These field trips
focus on high demand industries and STEM-based occupations that can be
obtained in months, not years. The aim of the program is to help the students navigate their
career exploration and understand the world of work.
Focus on Sustainability
The digital field trips align with the United Nations' 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and focus on occupations in sustainable industries. The program shows the
world of work in smart machines (Industry 4.0), allowing students to see what occupations will look like in the future. The field trips include robots, drones, electric cars, artificial intelligence (AI), solar powered farms, and more. This feature is especially important as it helps students prepare for the
jobs of tomorrow.
Accessing the Field Trips
The digital field trips can be accessed
online (360-degree video) on any major browser. Students can view them on PCs, tablets, and smartphones, and even from home if they have an internet connection. The field trips can also be
experienced in virtual reality (VR) on two leading mobile VR headsets: Oculus Quest 2 and the Pico.
Who Can Benefit from the Field Trips
These field trips are for CTE,
grades 7-12,
community colleges, and
libraries. They can be used by anyone who wants to learn about high demand industries and STEM-based occupations. They are especially useful for students who are exploring career options and want to learn more about different job pathways.
